Description

  • Damele, from just North of Tonopah, highlights this beautiful bracelet. Damele production has ceased and it is harder to obtain. The most important part of this bracelet is the stone.
  • Damele is actually a variscite, which is often marketed along with turquoise. Broken Arrow and New Lander are also variscite.
  • This bracelet is simply signed “Begay, Sterling” It is unknown which Begay Navajo family member crafted this beautiful bracelet. 
  • The stone is set in a bezel which is attached to a small post in between the bracelet and the bezel cup.
  • This bracelet was purchased from Tony Cotner’s sister after his passing. Tony Cotner was the most famous owner of the Damele Mine on the Benny Damele Ranch.
