- The Carl Luthey Studio’s hallmark is a stick figure representing the designer, not the silversmith.
- Occasionally, there will also be the Navajo artist’s hallmark on the piece as well. The head is a C, the arms are a W and the legs have an L.
- Mr. Luthy passed away January 31, 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
