- He married Martha and trained her in jewelry-making, she started producing work in the 1960βs. Gene learned from his father and later studied under Kenneth Begay.
- Gene was brother to another master jeweler, Dan Jackson. The stamp reads βJACKSON,β frequently placed inside a hogan outline, indicating the coupleβs collaborative work.
- TheyΒ were the parents of five children, including jeweler Tommy Jackson
