- This is an absolutely STUNNING necklace choker featuring natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise in needlepoint setting. The piece is signed on the back, FB, which indicates that this a piece is made by Zuni New Mexico silversmith Fred Bowannie.
- This piece consists of three sections, all interconnected with a handmade link chain. The chain continues up each side, and the length is perfectly set for the necklace to hang right on the upper chest. It’s not quite a choker yet high enough to be the focus of the eye when worn with a lower cut neckline.
- Sixty-six hand shaped cabochons of turquoise ate all fit into sawtooth bezels in a tedious and exacting process, which is well worth the results. It carries the hallmark FB, carved into the back with a dremel tool.
- This is a signed necklace marked F B Fred Bowannie 1935-70’s Zuni.Â
