- Frank’s son is another famous Navajo Silversmith: Alvin Yellowhorse.
- Frank started working in his fathers roadside stand on Route 66 at a very young age.
- Frank was a Korean War Veteran. Upon returning from the service in the mid-1950s he worked as a jeweler until his death.
- His specialty was complicated mosaic patterns and channel inlay mosaic.
