- Vintage mid 20th century Bernard Homer Sr. & Alice Leekya Homer Zuni Indian sterling silver fetish ring with a beautifully carved turquoise stone in the form of a stylized frog set on a heavy silver hand fabricated shank.
- Bernard Homer was one of the most accomplished, widely respected elders and silversmiths in the Zuni Pueblo as was his wife Alice, daughter of Leekya Deyuse, from whom she learned fetish carving.
- Bernard and Alice produced channel inlay through at least the 1950s. The silverwork on their pieces was often done by Navajo artisans.
- In the 1960s Alice began fetish carving, thus carrying on the art form for which her father became famous.
- Bernard and Alice’s son Bernard Homer, Jr. and daughter Juana Homer, are both well-known Zuni artists.
- Unsigned and attributable based on design, age, and construction techniques.
