SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACES

A squash blossom necklace is a necklace with blossoms which simulate pomegranate blooms. In order for a necklace to be considered a squash blossom necklace, it should have these blossom type adornments, otherwise it is considered to be a necklace. A squash blossom also has a Naja, the horseshoe shaped adornment at the bottom of the necklace. Squash blossoms come with machine made beads or handmade beads, which will be indicated in our description. *PLEASE NOTE that many Native American Indian hand made items were NOT SIGNED, but may be more desirable and of higher quality than signed pieces. It is also interesting to note that It was often times considered “egotistical’ or “boisterous” among tribal members to sign or hallmark their pieces. We will indicate when a piece is clearly “non-Indian” made. The metal is sterling silver, defined as 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy, unless otherwise indicated.
