- A wonderful piece of Zuni jewelry and wearable art. This necklace made by Velma and Blake Lesansee (see page 4,5 in Bell, Zuni The Art and the People , Vol 3), is composed of 12 inlaid owls + the Naja.
- Husband-and-wife team Blake and Velma Lesansee started working together in the mid-1950s. They are best known for an inlaid owl design in necklaces, bracelets, earrings and pins.
- These artists are represented in such in museums such as the Kennedy Museum of Art & New Mexico Museum in Santa Fe.
